A passenger on a public bus in Thessaloniki was injured when a part of the vehicle roof detached and fell on the head of the young woman.

The roof part was not particularly small if one sees the released pictures.

According to state broadcaster ERT, an ambulance was called to the scene to provide first aid to the victim. After short examination o the spot it was determined that the woman needed neither first aid nor hospitalization.

The accident took place in an OASTH public bus Line 18 on Thursday afternoon.

It is not the first -and it won’t be probably the last- incident in a public bus not only in Greece’s second biggest city, but also in Athens and else where in the country as maintenance is something that does not seem to trouble the governmen.
