Police on the island of Zakynthos has arrested one person and is seeking three more after an incident with physical injuries and a shooting against three foreigners.
According to the Security Department on the island in the Ionian Sea, a case has been filed against four (4) Greeks, one of whom was arrested and another three are being sought.
The three defendants had an argument with three foreigners, to whom they caused bodily harm, hitting them with hands and feet, as well as with a plastic rod, local media imerazante.g. reported.
At the same time, the fourth defendant, coming from an adjacent health care store, fired a gun at the victim, without injuring him.
The incident took place outside a bar on Thursday morning.
For the attack, The person who has been arrested is charged with grievous bodily harm. The other three are to be charged with – as the case may be – with the offenses of attempted murder, the violetions of the Weapons Act, grievous bodily harm and verbal abuse.
The arrested person will be taken to the Public Prosecutor of Zakynthos.
Neither the reasons for the attack nor the victims’ nationalities have been known, so far.
