Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY issued an emergency bulletin on Wednesday, warning of intense weather phenomena.
Heavy rainfalls and storms accompanied by a high frequency of lightning and local hailstorms are forecast from Wednesday evening, October 25, until Thursday evening, October 26, 2023.
Mainly affected will be western Greece.

Wednesday, Oct 25
a. from the evening hours the area of Corfu-Paxos and Epirus.
Thursday, Oct 26
b. from the morning hours the western mainland and the rest of the Ionian islands.
c. from midday probably northwestern Peloponnese.
The effects will weaken, from noon in the northern parts and from the afternoon hours in the rest of the affected areas.
