Two 15-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy were found in semi-conscious state in the toilets of the High School of Alicarnassos in Heraklion.

Classmates informed the principal who immediately call the ambulance service and the minors were transferred to the local hospital.

Local media initially suggested that the use of drugs or something else such as nicotine sticks caused the students’ fainting.

Next to ambulances, also police officers rushed to the school and started to look for the minors’ parents for further investigation.

According to latest information, the minors used nicotine sticks to help them stop smoking, but rather an overdose that caused them nausea and also panic.

The three minors remain hospitalized and their life is not in danger.

They admitted the use of nicotine sticks saying that they got them by a 15-year-old classmate. The boy may face charges for causing bodily harm by negligence.
