Inflation in Greece jumps to 3.9% in October from 2.4% in Sept

Inflation rate in Greece jumped to 3.9% in October from 2.4% in September in contrast with a sharp fall in the inflation in the Eurozone, the Eurostat said in its flash estimate on Tuesday.

Inflation in the Eurozone fell to 2.9% from 4.3% over the same months, respectively, the EU Statistics Authority added.

Eurostat also reported provisional data on Eurozone’s GDP in the third quarter of 2023, which showed a slowdown of the economy.

Eurozone’s GDP fell 0.1% in the third quarter of the year compared with the second quarter, but rose 0.1% in comparison with the third quarter of 2022. There were no national data.
