Credit: City of AthensThe Athenian Itineraries thematic walking tours of Athens return in May with five itineraries available in Greek and two available in English.
Pre-booking is necessary to participate in the free tours, organized by Athens Culture Net, an initiative of the City of Athens.
The two itineraries available in English are the Return to New Athens, scheduled for May 8th, and Dark Athens, scheduled for May 29th. Bookings will open online beginning on May 2nd and May 24th, respectively.
Both of the above itineraries will also be available in Greek, alongside another three itineraries; one in Kypseli, the old Athens neighborhood of poets and artists, and two at the 1st Cemetery of Athens, where some of the greatest personalities of modern Greece lay to rest.
Each group will be limited to 20 participants.
