Entrepreneurship fee for self-employed to be cut by 50%, says FinMin

Τhe entrepreneurship fee will be cut by 50 percent for all self-employed from this year, National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Tuesday in an interview with SKAI TV.

The change relative to the initial plans will be included in the draft tax bill that is to be tabled in Parliament, either late on Tuesday or early Wednesday morning.

It should be noted that, based on the announcements made, the entrepreneurship tax will be entirely abolished in 2025. The tax currently stands at 650 euros a year and will now drop to 325 euros.

According to Hatzidakis the reduction applies to all who are self employed.

The original bill gave a discount of either 25% or 50%, depending on whether declared income exceeded the minimum presumed income.

Cutting the fee into to half is apparently a small “consolation bonus” to self-employed who will be taxed according to deemed income as of new year.
