The Mixed Jury Court of Appeal in Athens upheld the life imprisonment sentence for Babis Anagnostopoulos who murdered his 19-year-old British wife, Caroline Crouch, in May 2021.

He was absent in the court.

His defense had argued that the sentence should be reduced due to mitigating circumstances. However, the prosecutor rejected this argument, characterizing the case as one of the most heinous crimes of the past decades.

Babis Anagnostopoulos, a pilot of private helicopters, murdered his wife at their home in the east Attica suburb of Glyka Nera in front of the eyes of the couple’s infant daughter.

Caroline ‘s mother has claimed full custody of her grand-daughter Lydia and both live in Philippines.

Her British father keeps living on the island of Alonissos, Sporades, as he cannot travel due to health issues, media reported..
