Greece’s National Organization for Medicines EOF, issued an announcement on Tuesday warning consumers that the product KSM-66 Ashwagandha contains opioid drugs and specifically heroin in unknown concentration.
Product KSM-66 Ashwagandha of the Medicine Garden company which is marketed in Europe, and therefore is possibly also distributed in Greece, as well as through the internet as a dietary supplement, contains opioid drugs and specifically heroin of unknown concentration, EOF warned.
Consumers are advised not to use the product if it comes into their possession and should immediately inform EOF.
“We point out that the purchase of EOF products from unreliable sources, such as the internet, can endanger the health of the consumer,” the announcement stressed.
The above notification is made after informing the competent Danish authorities through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
