Man arrested for dragging dog tied on vehicle (video)

A white dog is being filmed tied with a rope on the back of a farm vehicle driving on a street of Xylokastro of Corinth on northern Peloponnese.

The poor animal is literally struggling as hard as it can to keep pace with the car’s speed and to avoid falling on the asphalt ground.

Another motorist filmed the incident on Thursday and handed it over to local authorities.

The video was also uploaded on social media where it triggered an outrage as expected.

Later on Thursday, police managed to identify and locate the motorist and arrested him.

The 87-year-old man is being of dragging a dog tied with a rope behind the truck of the agricultural vehicle while he he was driving.

He faces charges for violations of the legislation on the welfare of companion animals.

There is no information about the whereabouts of the dog.
