Two Irish teenagers have died over the weekend while on school vacation on the island of Ios, in the Cyclades group in the central Aegean Sea. They were classmates in the same school and had recently graduated before with other classmates traveled to Ios for summer vacations. both teenagers were 18 years old.
The students from Ireland, 71 in total, had started consuming large quantities of alcohol already on Saturday noon and having fun until the early hours on Sunday, local media cyclades24.gr reported.
The body of Max Wall was discovered by officers at approximately 9.20 a.m. local time on Sunday, on rocks in a field outside Chora, the main town of the island. The body showed signs of a fall. Earlier that morning, when his friends returned to the hotel and did not find him, they reported him as missing.
At some point, Max allegedly started to walk to the hotel that was not far away, with reports suggesting that he stumbled and fell into the cliff.
Andrew O’Donnell was found unconscious near the island’s port around 2 p.m. also on Sunday. Emergency services rushed with an ambulance to the spot and quickly transported him to the local hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival. According to some reports, he had been suffering from chronic heart failure.

Both bodies will be transferred to Piraeus for autopsy to determine the exact causes of the deaths.
The students had been reportedly part of a larger group from a Ballsbridge secondary school, celebrating the completion of their Leaving Certificate Examinations, the Irish equivalent of A-level exams.
It is the third death of Irish young men in the last two weeks in the country. In June, a 22-year-old Irish man, who had come to Greece to work in summer, died in the poll of a club on the island of Zakunthos.
