Young nurse brings kitten back to life with CPR (video)

A 21-year-old nurse has brought back to life with CPR a newly born kitten that had fallen into manhole.

The nurse was walking with her father last Saturday afternoon in Nea Magnisia by Thessaloniki, northern Greece.

At some point the father realized that a kitten was in a manhole. Without a second thought, he lifted the lid and pulled the young animal out.

The daughter noticed that the kitten was unconscious.

The young woman, who is a nurse, began massaging the little body trying to bring it back to life. Her cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts paid off. A few minutes later, the kitten returned to life and quickly into its mother’s arms.

When the kitten signaled with a meow that it was returning to life, the father says relieved “Bravo, my little soul!”

“I would do it again without a second thought. We must help anyone who needs us, whether they are a human or an animal. We learned this from our parents,” nurse Eleni Gousbounari told local news website thestival.gr.
