Russian state TV which is controlled by President Vladimir Putin has been threatening European countries with a nuclear holocaust for their support for Ukraine.
On Sunday one of Russia’s top propagandists threatened Britain with annihilation by nuclear strike twice on his prime-time show — once by air and once by sea.
“Why threaten horizonless Russia with nuclear weapons when you sit on a small island?” Kremlin-allied Dmitry Kiselyov said during his Sunday program on Russian state TV in a segment he called “The Sinkable Island.”
“Just one launch, Boris,” Kiselyov said, referring to the British prime minister, “and England is gone. Once and for all. Why play with us?”
Britain threatened with nuclear holocaust in Russian TV
Kiselyov, a man often known as “Putin’s mouthpiece”, said Russia can attack Britain with a Poseidon underwater drone that he said would trigger a 1,600ft radioactive tidal wave and “plunge Britain to the depths of the ocean.”
The show then unveiled a map showing how the missiles could be launched from Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave between Poland, Lithuania and the Baltic Sea.
It claimed that Berlin could be destroyed by a nuclear strike in only 106 seconds, Paris in 200 seconds and London in only 202 seconds.
In response to continued Western support for Ukraine, Putin recently ordered his military to test-fire its Sarmat missiles.
Only last week, Putin claimed that his country’s hypersonic missiles could “breakthrough all modern defenses” and would be ready to lay siege to the UK “by autumn”.
This comes as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues well into its third month.
