Public buses will join the nationwide strike on Thursday with work stoppages from the start of the shift until 9:00 a.m. and from 9 p.m. until the end of the shift, the OASA staff union announced on Tuesday.
They will run normally 9:00 am – 9 pm to facilitate protesters join the rally.
The bus routes operated by KTEL intercity coaches will run as normal.
Public sector workers union federation ADEDY and private sector union umbrella General Confederation of Employees of Greece (GSEE) will launch another 24-hour strike on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
According to unions announcements, the strike has been called to protest against deficient safety standards in public transport, as highlighted by the rail collision in Tempi.
A protest rally is scheduled at Syntagma Square in Athens downtown at 11 o’ clock on Thursday morning.
