Roula Pispirigkou was detained on Wednesday for the homicide of her first daughter. The Greek mother from the city of Patra came under suspicion after all three of her children died within three years.
Pispirigkou, 33, was detained by police and is currently being led to the Attica police headquarters in Athens (GADA) for further questioning.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Public Prosecutor’s Office released a notice of her criminal prosecution for the first degree murder of her daughter Georgina, meaning that the alleged murder was planned, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
Greek mother under suspicion after all three children passed away in three years
Georgina, aged 9, died in January 2022 at the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital in Athens. She and her two siblings passed away in the span of three years.
A toxicological analysis was conducted on Georgina last week, but further tests were ordered by medical examiner Sotiris Bouzianis after a strange substance was detected in her body.
