Greece will paralyze on Wednesday, April 9, due to the nationwide 24-hour strike declared by the two big union umbrellas, the ADEDY for the public and the GSEE for the private sector.
Ferries will remain docked, airplanes will be grounded and public transport means will stage work stoppages.
The strike will be joined by civil servants and municipality workers, teachers, food workers, and other sector workers potentially paralyzing services nationwide.
The unions demand collective labor agreements for all sectors, wage increases, the reinstatement of 13th and 14th monthly salaries as well as measures to address the housing crisis and the rising living costs.
