A van holding Giorgos Rupiakas, the murderer of rapper Pavlos Fyssas, was spotted headed toward Malandrinos Prison today.

Golden Dawn Party members, now convicts, Artemis Matthaiopoulos, Ioannis Kazantzoglou, and Yiannis Aggos will also be transported to Malandrinos Prison.

The only female criminal from the Golden Dawn group, former police officer Venetia Popori, was taken to the female prison in Elaiona, Thiva in a different van.

Numbering 27, nearly all the leaders of the party, now ruled to have been a criminal organization, will go to Domokos Prison. Just five men sentenced to prison terms will be transferred to the prison in Trikala.

In order to ensure the safety of all those involved, strict anti-virus measures will be put in place during the transfer of the convicts to the various institutions.

Additionally, all of the Golden Dawn members will remain in a 14-day quarantine apart from other inmates upon their arrival at prison, and will undergo Covid testing as well.
