Ferries were forbidden to sail from the ports of Zakynthos and Kefalonia on Thursday morning, January 19, due to strong winds blowing in the southern Ionian Sea.
According to Levante Ferries, the ferries from Poros (Kefalonia) to Kyllini departing at 9:00, from Zakynthos to Kyllini departing at 09:45 and from Kyllini to Poros at 11:00 were cancelled.
Furthermore, due to the adverse weather conditions, the ferry journeys from Poros to Ithaki at 12:45 and from Kyllini to Zakynthos, scheduled to depart at 11:45, will not be carried out.
Thursday morning, ferries were allowed to depart the port of Piraeus for the Cyclades and the Dedecanese islands, however, they remained docked at the ports of Lavrio and Rafina.
