Credit: Greek ReporterGreece confirmed 22,694 new coronavirus infections and 70 deaths associated with the virus in the last 24 hours, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced on Monday.
A total of 11,986 cases had been recorded in the country the day before, Sunday, and 48 people died with the virus.
Since the pandemic began, Greece has confirmed a total of 2,658,296 Covid-19 infections. Of the cases recorded in the last seven days, 214 infections are related to travel from abroad and 1,347 to other confirmed cases.
Coronavirus cases in Greece number 22,694
The 70 deaths associated with the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours bring the total number of people who have died with the virus in Greece to 26,635. Of those who passed away, 95.2 percent had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
A total of 364 coronavirus patients are on ventilators in hospitals on Monday, compared to the 356 undergoing the treatment the day before.
