Bus line Χ80 Piraeus–Acropolis–Syntagma Express resumes service on May 24

The bus line X80 “Piraeus – Acropolis – Syntagma EXPRESS,” will resume operations as of Saturday, 24 May, 2025, to serve passengers and visitors to the Greek capital Athens.

According to the Athens Urban Transport Organisation (OASA), bus line X80 will resume operation, connecting the Piraeus Port Authority’s cruise ship terminal (Akti Xaveriou and Akti Miaouli) with the Acropolis and the city center of Athens.

On its return to Piraeus, the route will pass by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The bus line covers a distance of 27 kilometers and operates in approximately 60 to 75 minutes, depending on the day and time. In around 35 minutes, passengers can travel between the port of Piraeus and the center of Athens, and vice versa.

The X80 line features a total of 16 stops that showcase notable points of interest in Piraeus and Athens. These include the Acropolis Museum, the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, the Planetarium, the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The bus schedules are daily every 35 – 40 minutes from 7 a.m. until 9:15 p.m.

Bus line X80 operates from May until October.
