Athens Public Transport on modified schedules April 18-23

Public transport means in Athens will operate with different schedules over the Easter 2025 days. the special schedules start on Good Friday, April 18, and be in effect until Easter Wednesday, April 23.

Please note that on Holy Friday (April 18), Metro Lines 2 & 3 will not run on extended schedule . The last trains will leave the ‘Syntagma’ stop at 00:20.

Modified public transport schedules are usual in public holidays.

BUSES and TROLLEYS: 


– Holy Friday (April 18): All buses and trolleys will be on a “Saturday” schedule


– Holy Saturday (April 19): All buses and trolleys will start withdrawing early in order to be at their depos by 23:00


– Easter Sunday (April 20): All buses and trolleys will be on a “Sundays & Holidays” schedule


– Easter Monday (April 21): All buses and trolleys will be on a “Sundays & Holidays” schedule


– Easter Tuesday (April 22): All buses and trolleys will be on a “Saturday” schedule

Depending on passenger traffic and if necessary, there are additional schedules that can be implemented for bus lines serving the Athens International Airport ‘El. Venizelos’, the Kifissos or Liossion stations (KTEL or intercity buses, and the Port of Piraeus.

ATHENS METRO and TRAM

On Holy Saturday (April 19), the last schedule of the fixed-rail services are as follows:

Metro


– On Line 1 (ISAP) from Piraeus and Kifissia and return, at 22:20


– On Line 2 (red line) from Anthoupoli at 22:43 and from Elliniko at 22:40


– On Line 3 (blue line) from Doukissis Plakentias at 22:42 and from Dimotiko Theatro at 22:37


– From ‘Syntagma’ stop to all directions at 23:00


– From the Athens Intern’l Airport at 22:22 and from Dimotiko Theatro to the Airport at 22:37

Tram


– On Line 6 from Pikrodafni at 22:15 and from Fix at 22:52


– On Line 7 from Asklipio Voulas at 21:44 and from Aghia Triada (Piraeus) at 22:43


– On Lines 6 & 7, switching at Pikrodafni: from Fix to Asklipio Voulas at 22:22 and on the return at 21:29, and from Aghia Triada to Fix at 21:3 and on the return at 21:37.
