Greek car registrations rose 19.2 pct in October for a 24.7 pct increase in the first 10 months of 2018, Hellenic Statistical Authority said in a report released on Friday.
The statistics service said that car registrations (new or used) totaled 15,187 in October from 12,737 in the same month last year, with new car registrations totaling 7,754, up 12.5 pct. In the 10-month period from January to October, car registrations totaled 167,931, up 24.7 pct from the same period in 2017, with new car registrations totaling 97,254, up 18.3 pct.
Motorcycle registrations totaled 2,786 in October, up 18.3 pct from the corresponding month last year, with new motorcycle registrations totaling 2,499, up 19.7 pct. In the January-October period, motorcycle registrations totaled 33,404, up 21.6 pct from the same period in 2017, with new motorcycle registrations totaling 30,296, up 21.6 pct.
