Greek Navy Rescues Man Off Serifos Island (video)

The crew of a Hellenic Navy helicopter recorded the breathtaking rescue of a man at sea, two nautical miles south of Serifos Island in the Cyclades archipelago, on Wednesday.

After an urgent request from the Unified Coordination Center for Search and Rescue, the Aegean Hawk’s helicopter crew was able to locate and rescue the man after lowering an inflatable boat to the water.

The man was subsequently taken to the Kotronio Heliport at the Navy Helicopter Base on Wednesday afternoon.
