Lockdown Imposed on Kozani

One of the worst hit areas in the country is the region of Kozani in northern Greece, which has been placed under a lockdown. In the last 14 days, 227 active cases of coronavirus were detected in the area.

“Due to the increased epidemiological burden in the wider region of Kozani the entire Regional Unit of Kozani is set from tomorrow (Friday), at 06.00 and for 14 days, until October 29, 2020, at the Alarm Level category 4 – Increased Risk,” a statement issued by the authorities says.

The “Alarm Level category 4 – Increased Risk” category provides for the mandatory use of a mask in all indoor and outdoor areas, the suspension of all gatherings in public and private spaces, as well as a ban on movement outside the Kozani Regional Unit.
