A total of 207 new Coronavirus cases and five deaths were recorded by Greek health officials on Tuesday.

One of Tuesday’s deaths was a 102-year-old woman who passed away with the virus in Athens’ Evangelismos Hospital.

Twenty of Tuesday’s 207 new cases were identified through testing at Greece’s borders.

These numbers are up from Monday’s totals of 183 cases and four deaths.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Greece has now reached 10,524. Confirmed deaths of those who succumbed with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic now total 271 in the country.

Around 20% of Greece’s cases are attributed to foreign travel, while just over 44% of cases resulted from contact with a known case. The rest are of unclear origin.
